... Why, oh why didn't this book exist when I was a kid?!

I could have started my love affair with Lovecraft WAY sooner!  Hmmm, though the idea of a child having a love affair with Lovecraft (especially the currently 70+ years dead Lovecraft) is pretty disturbing.  You might say it's... LOVECRAFTIAN!  Or not.  Actually, I don't know if there are ANY books out there involving a child having a love affair with a 70-year-old corpse, but considering how quickly the world at large seems to be running out of ideas (case in point: High School Musical 1, 2 , and 3) don't be surprised if you see the premise soon.
