Actually, this is how I ended up reading Twilight. And now look at me.
 Moral of the story?
 NEVER SLEEP.

Hollywood has trouble with interpretations sometimes. Just look at almost every book turned into a movie, EVER.

This was one of my many glorious birthday acquisitions, and so far it's not half bad. Then again, considering the accolades spattered across the damn thing like so much demented flair, it had better be above par.
I'm enjoying it so far (the first chapter was a real mind fuck). Has anyone else read this pu

<![CDATA[Kat's Belated Birthday Post (AKA too hungover on the actual day to function)]]>Wed, 12 Jun 2013 16:43:07 GMThttp://www.bibliobabes.ca/1/post/2013/06/kats-belated-birthday-post-aka-too-hungover-on-the-actual-day-to-function.html I don't know if you guys know this, but it was my birthday on Friday. And because my birthday was on a Friday, I ended up getting ridiculously drunk multiple times throughout the whole of last week.
Tuesday night Banana Bols and Whiskey shots? Check.
Thirsty Thursday at The West Country (AKA The Wet Cunt) where I was force-fed Dirty Hookers? Check.
And then Friday morning, hungover as hell, I showed up to work like this:
Why yes, that IS a skeleton unicorn onesie.
And what was waiting for me as my official first gift?
That's love right there. Because only the people who really love me know I HATE olives. See how stoked I am about them?
After work, I headed home for my birthday party. Key scenes included:
*Pinata stuffed with alcohol, illicit substances, candy, and condoms
*2 dozen cap guns
*Cops showing up
*Landlord showing up TWICE to tell us to keep it down, followed by me drunkenly hugging him as he backed away from me whimpering, "No no no no no!"
*Multiple kisses (and not chaste ones, either) from many attending girlfriends
*Me passing out at 2:30AM covered in lipstick
And here are two of the least incriminating photos I was able to get my hot little hands on:
The next morning was filled with Skyping with Cara (SQUEEEEE!) and a good ol' fashioned BBQ at my friend's house, where I managed to get drunk and get into a fight with a wooden door.
And then, on glorious Sunday, I went to Chapters. Where I proceeded to spend every penny of my birthday money on books.
Here's a quick guide to what I grabbed:
Breed - Chase Novak (already finished that one!)
Wool - Hugh Howey (started that one last night!)
The Quickening - Julie Myerson
Unwanted - Kristina Ohlsson
The Dead Man Vol 1 - Lee Goldberg & William Rabkin
The Dead Man Vol 2 - Lee Goldberg & William Rabkin
The Dead Man Vol 3 - Lee Goldberg & William Rabkin
The Outlaw - Angus Donald
What Our Eyes Have Witnessed - Stant Litore
Eutopia - David Nickle
Joyland - Stephen King
The Story of Beautiful Girl - Rachel Simon

And if you guys think I could use a few more books (and let's be truthful here - of course I do!) here is my Amazon Wishlist. And if you do send something my way, not only will I be eternally stoked, but I'll do a Thank You post as well.

So there you have it. Another birthday done, and only a few hundred days 'til the next one!
 Mucho love,
 BiblioBabe Kat

Cutest ever, right? Love her leggings and shoes too. Just missing a pair of sexy librarian reading glasses (what were they thinking!!)

Wouldn't Kat look amazing in this?

So, the impossible has occurred. Cara has finished a review! Now in her defence, she has moved to Dubai and travelled to Singapore to present at a conference. Quite the busy little beaver! However, a new review is up HERE and ready for your reading pleasure! Enjoy.
