I went into work today (like most days ending in "Y") and got myself a mighty big surprise (both literally and figuratively):
Mr Edgar Swamp was kind enough to send me a copy of his book "THE GYRE MISSION: JOURNEY TO THE *SSHOLE OF THE WORLD" and I'm ridiculously stoked to read it.  Hooray for badass new books (and trust me, this looks mighty badass)!
  Also, hooray for boobies.

Yesterday, while slaving away at my extremely difficult job (i.e. reading the Georgia Straight at Hempyz) the UPS dude came with something VERY special (and no, I don't mean the special stuff dudes usually come with - get your minds out of the gutter).
That's right, folks.  I got my genuine autographed Christopher Pike books!  Huzzah!  And they're some of my absolute favorites - Witch World, which is new as fuck and haven't had a chance to read yet but, hey, it's a new Pike book so thank Christ; The Season of Passage which is unquestionably my most beloved Pike book; and The Midnight Club, which always makes me cry like a bitch.
I'm one happy-ass BiblioBabe, let me tell you.

The BiblioBabes got an awesome email the other day:

  This was our reply:
Awesome!  I'm totally stoked!  I'm going to contact FedEx immediately!  I just need you to send me a little bit of cash first so I can top up my phone and replace the screen and buttons; I dropped it last night at the club and it isn't working right anymore.  But if you just send me the cash to do that, I'll get right on it!  Awaiting your reply!

And for some reason, they haven't gotten back to us...?  Sheesh.

Muah!

I am uber UBER stoked for this post!
Miss Roxie, one of the most awesome ladies we have ever had the pleasure of corresponding with (and one of our Book Revolution winners, to boot!) sent me a book from my Amazon Wishlist for my birthday!  And it was a book I've been hunting for for frickin' EVER.  Thanks for sending out The Killer Inside Me, Roxie!  And now I have something for you!
I did mention that if someone sent me something from my wishlist I'd do a Naked Reading Sunday, so here it is homies:
It was all I could get before my camera died, ha ha.  But it works!
But that's not the most epic part of this post.  Oh no.
See, since it was a babe of the lady variety who sent me a present, I figured I had to do something a little bit extra special.  So I convinced my husband to do a Naked Reading Sunday shot, just for you, Roxie:
Thanks a million, Roxie!  And thanks everyone for all your radness!

We need to create a new category called "Look What I Got in the Mail." We've been so frickin lucky to get some amazing shit and we are so grateful! Here's the latest sweet piece of swag I (Cara) got in the mail today *squeal*
YAY! Thing of beauty. So stoked.
