I recently acquired a handful of bookshelves from my glorious friend J9, you may remember her from several posts, but here's a photo reminder:
  Yes, she's delightful.
So because of J9, I now have a very tidy book room for me and a new video for you guys!  Enjoy!

The post title says it all.
And I'd like to send out a very VERY big thank you to my wonderful boss, Randy.  Not only did he create the amazing workspace I call second home, not only did he hire me more than three years ago and then make me a badass manager, but he also bought everyone working today (me, my fantastic husband, my copycat little sister neighbor, and my slightly further away sexface neighbor) Tim Hortons.  Because he loves us.  And we love him :)

This is especially for those friends of ours who requested this... but I suppose the rest of you can enjoy it too, right?
  Enjoy, guys!  xxoo

We had some good times with our friends on Google+ this new year! Check out the first 15 min of the shenanigans. Thanks for the fun time everyone!

Xx

So... y'all MAY have noticed that there was no Naked Reading Sunday post.  Maybe.  Possibly.  I mean, I'm sure you're all here for our witty book reports and our cutting edge book news, and you hardly even bother to check out Naked Reading Sunday, but for those of you who MAY have glanced at that section a time or two, you'll notice the lack of Naked Read for this past week.
It wasn't for lack of nudity, or for a lack of reading.  No siree Bob.  Unfortunately, Cara's computer has crashed, taking all of her naked pictures into gigabyte heaven, and Kat... well, Kat got shitfaced at the Hempyz company Christmas Party Saturday night and slept on her face all day Sunday.
So instead. I present you guys with THIS:
We ain't naked, and we ain't reading, but there sure are BOOBIES.

All right, boys and girls; have I got a treat for you!
This is my "Christ, you want to do a movie marathon, NOW?!" slap-it-together-maybe-if-I-throw-on-a-costume-no-one-will-notice-my-derps-and-durrhs video blog.
But to be fair, I also got the costume out for CardinalIron.
See?  All you gotta do is ask nicely.
And you may notice that I didn't read aloud tonight, but I wanted to get some suggestions from you guys - so if you've got any request, let me have 'em!
Happy Halloween, homies!

This is my second video blog, and I gotta tell ya, it's kind of surreal talking into my camera.  I kind of feel like one of those douchebags that yell and gesticulate wildly while talking into their unseen BlueTooth.
I've never had a positive encounter with one of those people.  Either I think they're fuckin' insane ("I'm about to be murdered outside my store by this angry psycho!  Oh... she's arguing with someone on her BlueTooth!  OK.  But.. how do I open up while avoiding her flailing arms?  Awkward!") or I'm just confused ("Do they not realize that they look like those crazy dudes downtown, but with a better wardrobe and hygiene regimen?") so when I'm doing it, albeit with less yelling and more book displaying, it feel kind of weird, sitting alone in a room, babbling away, ha ha.
So, here you go - The Book Revolution, Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood, Roughhouse by Thaddeus Rutkowski via The Naughty Bits, and... Robert Downey Jr.

Here you have it guys; my first vlog!
In this vlog, I discuss the Book Revolution, The Year of the Flood by Margaret Atwood, and share an excerpt from Breakfast of Champions by Kurt Vonnegut via The Naughty Bits.

Beneath Everything just posted our full interview, so I thought I'd post it for your viewing pleasure!
