"As you can see, I am in the bad side because I have a kobo. Why? I earnt an amount of money that I could only spend in Chapters/Indigo. Being happy with the library, I did not know what books to buy... so, I ended up with a kobo. At least, I do not have to wait such a long time for some books anymore.
Always J.R. Ward and the book that I was waiting for!!!!! First gay encounter in this one yaaaaaaaaaaaah! I am so excited! Even though it is not obvious on the picture ha ha ha! Time to read *Prrrrr* "

Thanks, Green Angel!  Foxy ladies and great reads... what more could a person want?

Martin Lastrapes – Inside the Outside

Before Martin Lastrapes, only one author gave me the feeling that I was reading a book written by someone gifted. This first writer was J.K. Rowling. I remember how I felt when I started reading Harry Potter: my heart fluttered and I had goose bumps. I also knew I would read the books again and again, which I have done so far. I did have the same sensation when I read Inside the Outside. Of course, there are other amazing writers, but I think they miss a little thing that would make them more than amazing. Ok, let’s talk about the book itself.

Geez! During all my reading, I did not know where I was going. What I mean by that is I had no clue of what would come next. Sometimes, I can guess more or less where the story goes, but not in this book. Every time I was surprised by an event, and I was like: “Dafuq I just read?!” Furthermore, it was done with logic. Recently, I read a book, and during all my reading, I was trying to find where and what it was all about. At the end, I was shared between “I want my life back” and “to some extent, it is not so bad”. Thanks God, it was not the same.

The characters are also awesome. I was really attached to them, even the bad ones. The portrayal of the characters’ feelings is so well described and realistic. The thought that came into my mind was the author had the ability to be in each char’s skin while he was writing the book.

Another good point for Martin Lastrapes is the omnipresence of the homosexuality. I think it is the first that I have read a book where being gay is normal, it is only love. He could have written all the characters were heterosexual, it was totally the same. “Oh, she is lesbian? Well, good for her. Let’s keep reading”. The lesbian I am is totally thankful for that.

So, folks, we have a genius here. You have to get this book ASAP. Do not think, buy it, you will totally fall in love with it like I did.

Martin Lastrapes – Footsteps

Another masterpiece… I wish the short story was longer, but it would not be a “short” story, would it?

What could I say about it? Nothing more than I have already said before. “Footsteps” is another proof that Martin Lastrapes is an outstanding author.

The story is connected with “Inside the Outside”. You do not need to have read it before reading this story, but it would give another dimension. Here again, I was hooked and I did not put the computer down. At the end, I wanted one thing: to read more…

... because her story couldn't even get her a psychiatrist referral.
What she really needs to do is examine her Shakespeare for a good look at some crazy:

Here's another image from the Library Foundation series: Peter Pan looks like he had an encounter with one of the lost boys who grew up to be a rough trick named Jim.
But seriously, get those kids reading, folks!

Damn it, my desk is totally empty. Sigh.

If I only owned a handful of books, I'd totally buy these.  But then again, if I only owned a handful of books, I wouldn't really care that much about books, and I'd buy these just to be a pretentious asshole.  So punch me if you ever see me with these, even though I love them.
It may not make sense, but it's an excuse to punch me in the face.

Not sure if it has the same ring to it, but it is pretty adorable.
